Handle your emotions because if you are emotionally unstable, it means you are not a stable human being and people will not trust doing business with you.
Replace your negative emotions with the positive ones. If you are an angry person, learn how to become a happy person. If you are a proud person, learn humility as a lifestyle. Anger and pride will chase away your potential customers and business partners thereby robbing you of potential income.
If you are given to doubts, fears, anxiety, replace them with hopefulness. Doubts and fears will keep you from taking calculated risks which are necessary in business.
If you are given to hating people easily replace it with love and meekness. You cannot do transactions with people that you hate.
If you are an ungrateful person, learn and replace it with gratitude and kindness. Ingratitude chases away repeat customers.

Be philanthropic only when you have become financially stable or else you will lose everything and fall to zero. You have to be ruthless and selfish in business.
Don't start a business by selling on credit. Offer discounts or sales only when you have made profits or it is needful for the business and won't affect it any way. Don't save your profits from the business in the bank. It devalues it. Rather, re-invest your money.
Apply budgeting, it helps prevent careless spending.
