PHYSICAL SELF CARE & EMOTIONAL SELF CARE

Physical self care is taking care of the body to promote physical health which helps to build the immune system.

This can be achieved through:

  • Physical exercises.

  • A healthy diet.

  • Getting enough rest and sleep.

  • Staying hydrated and so on.

Emotional self care is about being aware of our personality, which includes our emotions and putting them in check so they don't affect our mind negatively. It offers a space for nurturing and processing our feelings as well as healing of the mind. It makes us create value for ourselves and our relationships especially in challenging moments.

This can be practised through:

  • Mediation.

  • Reading.

  • Writing / journaling.

  • Music & Art therapy.

  • Regulation of social media.

  • Forgiving and accepting oneself.

  • Practising gratitude and kindness.

  • Spending time outdoors.

  • Taking a calm walk.

  • Staying hopeful and having a positive mindset.
